Lori van Gremberghe is an award-winning jazz vocalist and improviser, born in Flandres, Belgium. From an early age she was intrigued by music and all kinds of arts. After obtaining a degree in architecture, she started studying jazz at different conservatories in Belgium and graduated at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz (KUG).

She participated in many international workshops having the chance to be inspired by artists like Jozef Dumoulin, Sheila Jordan, Michael Abene, Jay Clayton, Norma Winstone, and many others. Her main teachers were Lynn Cassiers, Dena Derose and Erik Vermeulen.

Over the years, Lori has performed and recorded in Austria, Latvia, Italy, The Netherlands, and her home country Belgium, with many groups of different formations. In 2016 Lori was awarded the US DownBeat SMA award for Best Vocal Jazz Soloist. Next as a vocalist, she’s also active as a composer, lyricist and pianist. Currently she is teaching and continuing pianostudies.
